When is the deadline for ordering for Rosh Hashanah?
The order deadline is Friday, September 4th at NOON. No online or phone orders can be placed for the holiday after this time.
Do you Ship?
Yes, we ship year round and to the 48 contiguous states. We ship each Tuesday we are open and all orders need to be placed by 5 pm the Thursday prior. For a shipment to arrive before Rosh Hashanah, order by midnight September 3rd. See our shipping menu options.
Is there a list of pick up locations?
Check our Rosh Hashanah page for our Holiday Pick up locations, dates and times.
Culinary products require refrigeration and can be picked up at these approved locations.
I can’t seem to check out, it won’t let me pick a date or the location I want.
This typically means you have something in your cart that we are not selling the week of Rosh Hashanah. Please be sure that only Rosh Hashanah menu items are in your cart and it should allow you to select the correct date and location.
Culinary items require refrigeration and select locations can accommodate those requirements. Culinary items can be picked up at these locations, including Sunflower Bakery, as well as delivered to your home. Please ensure someone is home to accept the delivery so it may be refrigerated directly.
How long will you be selling Round Challah?
Round Challah will be available Tuesday through Friday. We will be selling Round Challah exclusively from September 8th until October 2nd. Traditional, Braided Challah will be available before and after these dates on Thursdays and Fridays.
I’m getting my order before we are eating it, how do I store it?
We supply a comprehensive list of storage instructions for all our desserts and breads. For culinary items, please consult the reheating instructions.
Can I get other items on your regular menu?
During the Holidays, Sunflower Bakery focuses our attention on just our special holiday items and select regular menu items for these few days. No items outside the Rosh Hashanah menu page are available September 8th – 11th.

Will you have a special Holiday menu for Sukkot?
Yes, the Sukkot menu will be available to pre order online on September 9th with an order deadline of September 23rd.
I forgot to place my order by the deadline, what can I do?
We have two retail locations for same day, in-person purchases. We do not hold items for purchase, they are first come first serve. Culinary Rosh Hashanah menu items are pre-order only. No items will be for sale in our retail shops.
